This is an incredibly special album for Ellerem Star, and it has been a privilige to write a song specifically focused on FND and other neurological disorders. ‘Morning Arrives’ and ‘Black& Red’ were written with illness in mind. Each has a different tempo, yet the sentiment is the same.
March 25th is FND, or Functional Neurological Disorder, awareness day in Australia. We have joined with Dr Katherine Gill and FND Australia Support Services to create a very special song. ‘Morning arrives’. Written by Dash Starkey and performed by Ellerem Star’s very own, Elle Lewis, who herself suffers FND.
FND is a disabling and distressing neurological condition where the brain and the body no longer work together due to disrupted brain messages. In modern terms it means the brain is glitching.
So help Ellerem Star and FND Australia, to raise awareness and hopefully some much needed funds to improve research. Check out fndaus.org.au if you want to know more.
Podcasthon, a worldwide charity event, is occuring in March 2026. That perfectly aligns with FND Awareness Day, so Dash is releasing a special episode on her Fairyland Adventures podcast. The chosen charity is, of course, FND Australia Support Services.
On 25th March 2026 at 2.30pm, Elle Lewis will be releasing our charity song ‘Morning Arrives’ and discussing FND with Georgia at BayFM in the Redlands (Brisbane). Listen live, at their website or on iHeart radio.

Many of these songs were written for other bands yet were never released, so they were collated into this mix. Please not that a handul may have explicit lyrics which we no longer put into our songs. Yet we did release them on this album as they were originally written. These songs have been marked on streaming platforms for mature audiences.
