Life’s Priorities

To be honest I thought it was time to write a blurb about our new country album, "Boötes", coming out on the 30th November. Seems a reasonable enough idea on a music page.

While prepping for it I was packaging some materials for our FND promo next year and flicked between some FND related pages on Facebook. I saw a poem by a 14 year old FND carer about his Mum. It hit hard. Elle has been struggling of late with her own FND, and I pick up the slack, yet I just can’t imagine the stress that would have on a child. Most adults struggle to get their heads around FND let alone a child.

It demonstrates that a neurological illness, such as FND or Parkinson’s (like my father had), is not only stressful and scary to the sufferer, it impacts everyone around them. That is why both sufferer’s and carers need our support! Don’t know how to help? A hug may help, or check out fndaus.org.au if you are in Australia. The UK and the US have their own services, yet you are always welcome to ours!
